One of my fav pizza places in Westchester is The Parlor.. I don’t know if it’s the sauce ..the dough but it’s perfection. 👌 it’s located on cedar street in DObbs Ferry. They have frozen margaritas and Fros’e too! 😋

Every year for my birthday I try to find a cool restaurant that has great food and ambiance. I came across Tony at the J’s in Greenwich , CT. It is located inside a boutique hotel in Greenwich. There is free valet parking. Reservations can be made on Opentable. Service is excellent and during our stay Tony himself came around asking trivia questions which made it fun! The garden area patio dining is gorgeous. Lush greenery everywhere 🌱 it makes you feel like you are on vacation. We started off with cocktails and then ordered scallops off of the specials. Our waitress called them decadent, and that was what they were they literally melted in your mouth. It came with a side of risotto in a Cream sauce that had me and my girls scraping the plate. For our entrees the three of us got The lobster 🦞 special. A 21/2 pound 🦞 in butter, oils, and herbs 🤤. We shared truffle fries 🍟 too! I would def go back I hear their steaks and pasta are also amazing.

Gitano NYC

Gitano in NYC is a pop up restaurant inspired by Gitano Tulum in Mexico. Their idea was to bring the Tulum Jungle to the Concrete Jungle of NYC.

Make reservations via OpenTable or else you will have a long wait to even get in the place!

When I stepped inside Gitano I felt like I was on vacation. I was surrounded by lush palm trees 🌴 and beautiful people.

We sat by the bar which has a big disco bar at the center of it.

Jungle Fever 😝 consists of Gem and Bolt, chili, lime, and cilantro. It had a great kick to it. 🌶

Gitano Margarita Montelobos, lime, cucumber, and rosemary. It was very refreshing. 🥒

Food

We ordered the Guacamole which was very tasty and fresh.

The special of the night was Carne Asada. It was extremely tasty 🥩 with chimichurri sauce and shishito peppers 🌶

There are several seating areas spread throughout the restaurant and garden area where you can sit, drink, and lounge. It starts getting very loungey in the evening. Lots of people hanging out and sipping on cocktails.

It’s back ! Pop up restaurant at eatalys’s rooftop in the flat iron district in NYC. It’s a Winter alps themed restaurant with a retractable roof overlooking fifth ave.

Complete with a log cabin theme with string lights hung all around the bar/restaurant. lots of furs around for a cozy, warm feel.You don’t want to miss :

The Polenta bar- yum creamy polenta served on a wooden board comes out freshly prepared for you to enjoy. Polenta was seasoned with rosemary and thyme and Parmesan!

🧀 Cheese board how can you come to eataly and not get some cheese ?! it is so fresh and creamy! Great way to start your meal!<<<<<<<<<<<< you warm 🍷🍸🍹 like the Vin Brul'e (mulled wine, brandy, cinnamon, and anise)!and boozy hot cocoa, and a tiramisu martini. Fresh pasta 🍝 like the Fusilli and Gnocchi perfectly al dente 👌 Reservations highly recommended I booked mine thru the opentable app!

Q Authentic Barbeque Restaurant

My love for good BBQ extends beyond the typical NY BBQ season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, parks and backyards all across the state are full with hungry families wanting their fill of smoky good food. Luckily, in Portchester there is a BBQ joint that will satisfy your hunger all year round. It is named “Q Authentic Barbeque Restaurant & Bar”. This place does come across as a typical hole in the wall style BBQ joint. However, it is a nice restaurant with plenty of seating and a full bar for you to enjoy your meal. I have tried several items on their menu. The stand-outs for me personally are the Chicken Wings and the Grilled Chicken Club sandwich.

Also, I have rated the items that I have tried on a scale of 1 to 5.

Cellar 49- Spring HVRW 2017

I made a Last minute decision to check out Cellar 49 in Tarrytown, NY for HVRW… and I’m sooo glad I did . Food and service is top notch 👌🏻

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is located on the grounds of the Tarrytown House Estate 🏡 As I walked down the stairs to a wooden door entrance and sat at the bar…I def got a speak easy vibe. Which I love ❤️. It was the “original” Cellar in the historic Biddle Mansion.

I started with the Truffle Burrata. It was drizzled in balsamic with pistachios and flatbread on the side. Delicious! 

🍽For Entree I chose the Flat Iron Steak that was cooked perfectly . It was paired with mashed potatoes and charred asparagus in a savory sauce. It was so tasty and one of the best steaks I have had in a while!

🍰The Dessert was a toffee almond cheesecake drizzled with caramel😋 (the main reason I chose this restaurant). It was heavenly! 

Everything was so amazing..I definitely recommend trying this place out. They have a three course pre-fix menu year round Mon-Thurs.

Who said you can’t eat fabulously in Westchester for a reasonable price ?! 💃

I enjoy going out and having a great meal locally in Westchester. Parking is never a issue and it’s a lot less hectic to get to..Westchester has many great restaurants to check out and HVRW is one of my fav time of the year.

HVRW let’s you check out the top restaurants in Westchester at a prefixed price of $ 32.95 for dinner and $ 22.95 for lunch March 6 – 19th. You can make it a date night or an excuse to get out with your girls for some over due girl talk.  You can also check out a new restaurant that you were hesitant to try. Lil drunken Chef in Mt Kisco, NY .. they had me with the Tipsy Goat Salad 🥗 and the drunken jerk chicken on the bone 🍖 along with the Tres Leche they will have me Drunk in Love with this new eatary. 

TutabellaTrattoria in Scarsdale, NY they are new to HVRW but they have been around for years. I picked this restaurant based on the fact they have one of my fav dishes on the menu bucatini al amatriciana. I also have worked down the street for more than five years and I have never checked them out!

Lusardi’s in Larchmont, NY. My bae actually picked this one out(one of the many reasons why he’s bae). I am eager to try the  Orrechiete Baresi and Risotto Porcini😋

Mario Batali (a big named chef)has a restaurant in Westchester County and I’m just checking it out.. I guess i’m late. However, I’m glad I finally got to sit and enjoy a great meal in this lil Portchester eatery.

Great wine selection.. I love a bottle of red wine along with my Italian food.I highly suggest the Clam, Garlic, Chilis, and Oregano Pizza.. the crust reminded me of Burratta’s in Eastchester (my fav pizza place in Westchester). The service was excellent along with everything that was served. I had to order the  Creamy burata with butternut squash and Walnut Pesto (Burrata is bae)!.. . burrata

 

The big hit of the night for me was the Pollo Francese with Artichokes and Capers.

Pollo Francese is one of my fav go to dishes.  I am always a lil leery of ordering it because it seems to be a hit or miss dish. It’s Chicken cutlet in a wine, lemon, and butter sauce and sometimes restaurants can get a lil crazy with the lemon. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce it was in was just perfect! I loved it.

For desert we had Tiramisu and ended our night with after dinner dranks at the quaint lil bar. After doing some research I came across that this restaurant was once a speak easy, and a dive bar.

Meatball Shop on the West Side

My friend Kevin is always raving about this place! The Meatball shop. A quaint lil eatery with friendly wait staff. They have a few locations. I went to the one on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Delicious cocktails .. always a big plus..I tried the Watermelon Margarita and the Gin Fizz. The menu is pretty much a dry erase board.. You grab a black marker and mark off the type of balls you want.. Classic Beef, Chicken, Veggie, Pork, or the Daily Special they have listed that day. Then you pick the type of sauce. Pesto, Creamy Parmesan, Classic Tomato, Spicy meat or the daily special.You can have your side or veggie under the sauce or on the side separately. Sautéed broccoli, rigatoni, spaghetti, mashed potatoes .. so many yummy options. They also have sliders and sandwiches which I’m looking to try on my next visit there.
