Wolf and Warrior Brewing located right off Mamaroneck Ave near the WP bar scene. Nice spacious location with plenty of seating and games to keep you entertained. (I recently became obsessed with Jenga)
Staff was super friendly and took the time to talk to us about their beer and their new location.
They were out of their cider at that time which I was a lil bummed about. They will be getting more beers on tap in the near future.
All beer is brewed on premises.
They also serve food for you to munch on.
They serve farm to table food. No wait staff so you order at the bar.
They do flights were you choose 5 beers to try. My favorite was the Patagonia-Argentinian Blonde Ale (I’m a fan of blonde’s).

BLVD …A Posh new Salon opened up in Scarsdale Village recently and I decided to check it out.
But It’s more than a typical Salon ..
It’s a multi brand beauty shop.
They offer nails, by Valley that offer awesome nail art that was once only found in NYC. My nail artist was Carol.
Dream dry offers blow outs ..waves… braids ..updo’s..anything you can think of! My girl Myra hooked me up with a side braid and waves. I wanted something different and something I couldn’t do on myself. I have tried so many times to watch you tube videos and braid it myself but i just couldn’t get it right. She was so friendly and easy to talk to. My hair was soooo fabulous when I left (runway ready).
My makeup was done by Nicole who was a sweetheart and I had a great chat with her as she was doing my makeup. I opted for a soft natural look with a bright lip. I’ll be using her for my next event 💁
They have iPads where you can sort thru images to find some inspiration on the look you are going for!

My love for good BBQ extends beyond the typical NY BBQ season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, parks and backyards all across the state are full with hungry families wanting their fill of smoky good food. Luckily, in Portchester there is a BBQ joint that will satisfy your hunger all year round. It is named “Q Authentic Barbeque Restaurant & Bar”. This place does come across as a typical hole in the wall style BBQ joint. However, it is a nice restaurant with plenty of seating and a full bar for you to enjoy your meal. I have tried several items on their menu. The stand-outs for me personally are the Chicken Wings and the Grilled Chicken Club sandwich.
Also, I have rated the items that I have tried on a scale of 1 to 5.
The ribs – 4/5
Collard greens- 4/5
Corn bread- 4/5
French fries- 4/5
Chicken wings- 5/5
Grilled Chicken Club-5/5
House Smoke Sausage- 4/5

I like bike 🚴 riding and I like jamming out to music. 🎶 Here, you can do both and get a kick ass workout in 45 minutes. My job was offering free classes a few months ago and I decided to take them up on it. I recently tried out SoulCycle and loved it. However, the price was pretty hefty and I couldn’t swing it.
So, off I went to check out FlyWheel located in Scarsdale. It’s in very close proximity to home and work. I downloaded the app and created an account with them. I reserved my class and picked my bike out. And.. I loved it.
You can put your shoe size in your profile and your cycling shoes are ready for you in a cubby with your bike number. Free shoes!! How about that. Soulcycle makes you rent their shoes at $3 a pop.
You can check in with one of the girls who are super friendly or you can check in via Laptop.
There are free lockers where you can toss your belongings in. Along with showers and changing areas.
There is also free water for you to fill up your bottles.
There’s a map where you can find your bike and you head into the studio. There are people there to help the newbies out. The bike seat should be at hip length and the distance from seat to handles should be by length from elbow to hand. I still have problems and people help me.. Those bikes can be tricky.
The instructor comes in ..dims the light and pumps up the music..
They tell you where your torque(level of resistance) and RPM should be. When I went to SoulCycle they did not do this. This makes the class much more difficult.
Is this an intense workout. I think so. I always want to puke when I leave. But that’s usually how I feel after any intense workout. Once that passes I feel incredible like I can take over the 🌎 world.
I made a Last minute decision to check out Cellar 49 in Tarrytown, NY for HVRW… and I’m sooo glad I did . Food and service is top notch 👌🏻
Reservation booked on OpenTable.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is located on the grounds of the Tarrytown House Estate 🏡 As I walked down the stairs to a wooden door entrance and sat at the bar…I def got a speak easy vibe. Which I love ❤️. It was the “original” Cellar in the historic Biddle Mansion.
I started with the Truffle Burrata. It was drizzled in balsamic with pistachios and flatbread on the side. Delicious!
🍽For Entree I chose the Flat Iron Steak that was cooked perfectly . It was paired with mashed potatoes and charred asparagus in a savory sauce. It was so tasty and one of the best steaks I have had in a while!
🍰The Dessert was a toffee almond cheesecake drizzled with caramel😋 (the main reason I chose this restaurant). It was heavenly!
Everything was so amazing..I definitely recommend trying this place out. They have a three course pre-fix menu year round Mon-Thurs.

My picks this year are …
Lil drunken Chef in Mt Kisco, NY .. they had me with the Tipsy Goat Salad 🥗 and the drunken jerk chicken on the bone 🍖 along with the Tres Leche they will have me Drunk in Love with this new eatary.
TutabellaTrattoria in Scarsdale, NY they are new to HVRW but they have been around for years. I picked this restaurant based on the fact they have one of my fav dishes on the menu bucatini al amatriciana. I also have worked down the street for more than five years and I have never checked them out!
Lusardi’s in Larchmont, NY. My bae actually picked this one out(one of the many reasons why he’s bae). I am eager to try the Orrechiete Baresi and Risotto Porcini😋

Mario Batali (a big named chef)has a restaurant in Westchester County and I’m just checking it out.. I guess i’m late. However, I’m glad I finally got to sit and enjoy a great meal in this lil Portchester eatery.
Great wine selection.. I love a bottle of red wine along with my Italian food.I highly suggest the Clam, Garlic, Chilis, and Oregano Pizza.. the crust reminded me of Burratta’s in Eastchester (my fav pizza place in Westchester). The service was excellent along with everything that was served. I had to order the Creamy burata with butternut squash and Walnut Pesto (Burrata is bae)!.. .
The big hit of the night for me was the Pollo Francese with Artichokes and Capers.
Pollo Francese is one of my fav go to dishes. I am always a lil leery of ordering it because it seems to be a hit or miss dish. It’s Chicken cutlet in a wine, lemon, and butter sauce and sometimes restaurants can get a lil crazy with the lemon. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce it was in was just perfect! I loved it.
For desert we had Tiramisu and ended our night with after dinner dranks at the quaint lil bar. After doing some research I came across that this restaurant was once a speak easy, and a dive bar.
They are also open for Lunch and they serve Brunch on the Weekends! They are also participating in HVRW this Fall.

I figured I would blog about my new favorite restaurant in Westchester ! Fortina in Armonk, NY 🙌🏼🍝🍷I’m obsessed with their housemade Spaghetti.. Perfectly al dente 👌🏻 Cheesy Garlic Bread served with Marinara and Fried Meatballs!! I will also mention they have an awesome playlist which makes for a great vibe that includes everything from Groove Theory to old school New Kids on the Block)
Garlic Bread- cheesy and delicious served with a side of marinara
Pastasciutto: spaghetti with a kick🔥🍝
Westchester Restaurants to Try in 2016
I really didn’t make any Resolutions this year..Mostly because they are pointless since I can never really seem to keep them. However, I think I found something I can stick to ..New Restaurants..conveniently located in Westchester. These are places I have been meaning to check out… I figure since Spring #HVRW will be upon us in March.. I can def make it happen..
These are at the top of my list:
Polpettina in Eastchester, NY: I dunno how I work right down the street and I still have been unable to try out Polpettina (which means lil meatball in Italian). I’m already a regular in Burrata, soo I def have to check out what Polpettina has to offer!
Salataire Oyster Bar in Portchester, NY : recommended by the Fabulous Intoxikate … she had me at Oyster Bar! This place looks fabulous and it is located in a Century Old Historic Grain Warehouse. I will be taking my mom here later this month to celebrate her Birthday!
Zuppa in Yonkers, NY : Pasta was ahhmazing at the BOW2015 Party .. I need to get to downtown Yonkers stat for a real experience!
Talk About #FoodieGoals
#HVRW is upon us..I love trying out new restaurants and Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is the perfect time to do so. It runs Nov 2- 15th, $20.95 for lunch and 29.95 for dinner and it includes appetizer, entrée, and dessert from a special pre fix menu. I have researched the choices and these are my top picks from looking at the menu’s and other fellow foodie input. After I try each restaurant I will update my blog and let you know what I think!
The Parlor – Cute lil pizza place in Dobbs Ferry, NY. I came here for lunch with a friend. Started with the dirty salad( fresh mozzarella, sopressata, sesame seeds) followed by a delicious brick oven Sopressata pie(they give you scissors to slice, very cute )! Ended it with the Brookie (warm gooey cookie topped with vanilla ice cream )
River City Grille in Irvington, NY: I had a great dinner with my family at this restaurant. Delicious food and great service! For starters I had the fried calamari, my entree was the braised beef brisket that was highly recommended by the waiter (so glad I listened) and finished with a classic Creme Brûlée ..
Red Hat on The River also in Irvington, NY. I have been dying to try this restaurant but I could never get a reservation. I stopped by for a late Lunch this Friday and luckily enough there was a table for me.. Hostess and wait staff were so friendly! Beautiful restaurant and comfortable seating! I had the vegetable soup (butternut squash, potatoes, carrot, parsley, and thyme) to start since it was a windy day I wanted something to warm me up.. It was delicious! For entree I went with the Steamed Mussels swimming in a garlic wine sauce and Frites(soo good!). Then for dessert I had a pumpkin caramel custard that reminded of flan..and I love flan! Wine list was incredible I chose a red wine from Portugal. This was a big hit and a great way to end #HVRW!
Zuppa in Yonkers, NY – Their pasta at the Best of Westchester Party had me wanting more!
Cedar Street Grill in Dobbs Ferry, NY – I have been dying to try their Shrimp and Grits.. also going on a Wednesday is a plus! Oyster Night and Live Music! My fav cocktail is the Hudson Daiquiri !
