Very scenic lodge overlooking bear mountain grounds with large windows in the dining area to take it all in. We sat right in front of the fireplace with a mounted moose head. I can only imagine in the winter how cozy it will be with a roaring fireplace.

There is  so much variety to choose from. It’s buffet style. There is a seafood display with raw oysters and shrimp cocktail, a carving station serving roast beef and spiral ham, a omelet station, waffle station, fresh fruit, traditional breakfast foods, pastries, bagels, dessert, and so much more…

Champagne Party Brunch At Beauty and Essex

  • Birthdays were the worst dayzzz, now we sip champagne when we’re thirstayyy

I decided to round-up my peeps for a champagne brunch in NYC ..Thought I would keep it classy and mature (some what) and do a brunch. I’m typically not a big bruncher, however I chose Beauty and Essex because I think it’s one of the most beautiful restaurants in NYC and I really wanted red velvet waffles!  Entrance is thru a Pawn Shop where I was tempted to treat myself to some sparkly and luxurious things..

Prefix brunch is $55 pp and includes lots of yummy sweet and savory eats, along with 2 glasses of champagne(they don’t pay close attention so they might top you off a little more than twice.) They can also alter the alter the menu for you to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Brunch at SandBox Cafe..Sizzlin Pancake is their specialty so of course I had  to try one . It’s a pancake baked in the oven for 25 minutes. I made mine with bananas, Nutella, walnuts and a swirl of cream cheese sprinkled with powdered sugar! It was like a mini freshly baked cake!

Boozy Brunch at Calle Ocho NYC

I heard tons of great things about the unlimited Sangria brunch at Calle Ocho! Finally I went on Opentable and made a reservation. The first available table for 2 was a few weeks out! (Be prepared and book in advance). The restaurant is inside the Excelsior hotel. The hostesses were very friendly we arrived about 10 minutes early and we were seated right away. The restaurant is very spacious which is nice since they get so busy. When you arrive, they give you a delicious fresh assorted bread basket with a yummy strawberry butter spread. Then you start ordering the sangria! The staff comes around often and you have a variety to choose from(they let you hold onto the menu). We tried every sangria on the menu red and white. (I prefer red)The glasses are 20 ounce and after the second glass I felt tipsy!! No wonder they have house rules, the sangria is no joke! I ordered Vaca Frita which is skirt steak served with pork fried rice, al caballo and topped with sliced avocado and tomatoe! It was sooo good! We also ordered a side of sweet plantains. We both cleaned our plates and we were too stuffed to have any desert. We both left in giggles and smiles and made a pit stop in Central Park as the snow fell.(Central Park is right down the street) I can’t wait to go back on a nice warm day so we can stroll Central Park!
