With the warmer weather slowly approaching NY..I’m starting to crave icecream 🍦 However, this time I wanted to try something different. Torn between soft serve and rolled ice cream 🍦 I figured I would check out a new spot. Milk and Cream Cereal Bar. Here they combine your favorite cereals with icecream. There are instructions on how to order. I had a very hard time making my final decision and it seemed a lot of other people did too! I settled on cookie dough icecream mixed with captain crunch topped with Reese’s pieces and caramel in a birthday cake cone! Yum 👅 Absolutely 😋 Delicious ! They also have specials up with their own concoctions.
I was in desperate need of a vacay. So I headed out to Miami for some fun in the sun. Perrrect Weather awaited me in South Florida. We stayed at the Eden Roc hotel after a coworker told me how amazing it was. I agree. 🌊 Ocean view balcony with spacious rooms and friendly check in made the trip seamless. We did not rent a car so we Ubered everywhere .. 🚗uber everywhere 🚗
A few of my fav places i visited on my trip to Miami..
For My Love of Latin food I checked out:
Versailles ..Excellent Cuban restaurant in Lil Havana 🌴 They boast that they are the worlds most famous Cuban restaurant. I was given this recommendation from Dr. Rodriguez fellow foodie and Latino! (ha!)The churasco was excellent and so was the Cuban sandwich 😋 This restaurant gets very busy but the line to sit and eat moves quickly! So don’t let that discourage you from trying this place out. FYI not much English is spoken here so brush up on your espanol.
For Culture :
Wynwood Walls 🎨 Free admission 🎨🌴Here you Stroll around and admire the grafitti and street art splattered across the wynwood walls. Street and Grafitti Artists from all over the globe 🌎 have their art displayed here.
For a fabulous dinner:
Lure Fish 🐟 Bar located inside The Loews Hotel .. Amazing dranks and Sushi! Yes Bae got me into Sushi 🍣 Crispy Rice Cakes were amazing and so was the Lazy Lobster Special (lobster off the shell). There’s a location in NYC too! A bit pricey but def worth the splurge.
For a Drank:
Broken Shaker Bar located inside the freehand hotel. They have a large outdoor sitting area to enjoy a cocktail. Great Ambiance and no cover charge. 🍹 I had the walk down Alameda. 🍸 They also serve food if you are looking for a bite to eat with your drank. Click here for menu

Yard 🐦 Bird Southern Table and Bar in Miami has to be one of my favorite Brunch spots. This is a very popular place! However, we got lucky and we were seated outside pretty quickly. The Fried Chicken 🍗 Spicy Watermelon 🍉 and Cheddar Waffles 😋 for two was ahhhmazing. The Eggs Benedict was also a big hit. 🍳 The poached egg was crumbled with a biscuit and bacon 🥓 😍. Let’s not forget the cocktails 🍹 I had a tipsy debutante monster because I liked the name of the drink and I like tequila 💃 My bf got a Bloody Mary with bacon 🥓 in it !They are located at:
1600 Lenox Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
I spent a cold Friday evening at a chic enclosed rooftop bar/restaurant in BK…
Breathtaking Panoramic views of the NYC skyline atop the William Vale…
Yummy but Pricy Crafted cocktails 🍹

I made a Last minute decision to check out Cellar 49 in Tarrytown, NY for HVRW… and I’m sooo glad I did . Food and service is top notch 👌🏻
Reservation booked on OpenTable.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is located on the grounds of the Tarrytown House Estate 🏡 As I walked down the stairs to a wooden door entrance and sat at the bar…I def got a speak easy vibe. Which I love ❤️. It was the “original” Cellar in the historic Biddle Mansion.
I started with the Truffle Burrata. It was drizzled in balsamic with pistachios and flatbread on the side. Delicious!
🍽For Entree I chose the Flat Iron Steak that was cooked perfectly . It was paired with mashed potatoes and charred asparagus in a savory sauce. It was so tasty and one of the best steaks I have had in a while!
🍰The Dessert was a toffee almond cheesecake drizzled with caramel😋 (the main reason I chose this restaurant). It was heavenly!
Everything was so amazing..I definitely recommend trying this place out. They have a three course pre-fix menu year round Mon-Thurs.

I recently gave blogging a break .. contrary to popular belief, divorce is difficult and it has taken an emotional toll on me.. . I try to stay positive and post mostly fun things like food and selfies…
I’ve struggled a lot with myself and I can let my insecurities get the best of me.
I try to stay strong for my thirteen year old daughter ..I don’t always succeed.
Like many things you cannot grasp the severity of the situation until it happens to you. I felt the same way when I struggled with infertility for five years. It leaves you feeling very lonely like no one truly understands.
And that’s why I’m posting this very personal blog because I’m sure there are other people out there that feel exactly like I do. And I’m hoping my readers can relate … divorce is lonely …and it’s depressing.
However, at 32 years old I think it’s time to put my big girl pants on ..boss up ..because Life goes on💃💃💃
And FYI I’m completely sober writing this 😜

TutabellaTrattoria in Scarsdale, NY they are new to HVRW but they have been around for years. I picked this restaurant based on the fact they have one of my fav dishes on the menu bucatini al amatriciana. I also have worked down the street for more than five years and I have never checked them out!
Lusardi’s in Larchmont, NY. My bae actually picked this one out(one of the many reasons why he’s bae). I am eager to try the Orrechiete Baresi and Risotto Porcini😋

Mario Batali (a big named chef)has a restaurant in Westchester County and I’m just checking it out.. I guess i’m late. However, I’m glad I finally got to sit and enjoy a great meal in this lil Portchester eatery.
Great wine selection.. I love a bottle of red wine along with my Italian food.I highly suggest the Clam, Garlic, Chilis, and Oregano Pizza.. the crust reminded me of Burratta’s in Eastchester (my fav pizza place in Westchester). The service was excellent along with everything that was served. I had to order the Creamy burata with butternut squash and Walnut Pesto (Burrata is bae)!.. .
The big hit of the night for me was the Pollo Francese with Artichokes and Capers.
Pollo Francese is one of my fav go to dishes. I am always a lil leery of ordering it because it seems to be a hit or miss dish. It’s Chicken cutlet in a wine, lemon, and butter sauce and sometimes restaurants can get a lil crazy with the lemon. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce it was in was just perfect! I loved it.
For desert we had Tiramisu and ended our night with after dinner dranks at the quaint lil bar. After doing some research I came across that this restaurant was once a speak easy, and a dive bar.
They are also open for Lunch and they serve Brunch on the Weekends! They are also participating in HVRW this Fall.

Everyone knows I absolutely LOVE Halloween.. I have been going to Haunted Houses for as long as I can remember. It’s always been a Halloween tradition so I try to hit up as many attractions as I can.
These are my fave that I have been to and I recommend checking out:
Terror Behind The Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary : Looking for a reason to visit Philadelphia besides grabbing one of there famous Cheese steaks.. here you go. A huge haunted house located inside a Real Abandoned Prison. At this attraction they can also touch you, grab you, send you into hidden passages, and put you in on the show. It’s totally up to you to opt in you make this decision before you enter. I did and was taken away ..put into secret passages.. and was part of the show(lucky me) several times. Check out my earlier blog on Scare Me Philly.
Horseman’s Hollow: Sleepy Hollow in Tarrytown, NY is notorious when it comes to Halloween. This attraction takes you on the tale of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow located in Phillipsburg Manor.. I love how local it is 10 minutes from my house! Click here for my blog post from my experience.
Headless Horseman: Located in Ulster Park, NY(boondocks). Its been rated the #1 haunted attraction for years and I agree. They have a one mile long hayride, a labyrinth-style corn maze, and 7 haunted houses. Lines are long and it gets cold up there so bundle up!
What are some of your favorite haunted attractions?
