Mario Batali (a big named chef)has a restaurant in Westchester County and I’m just checking it out.. I guess i’m late. However, I’m glad I finally got to sit and enjoy a great meal in this lil Portchester eatery.
Great wine selection.. I love a bottle of red wine along with my Italian food.I highly suggest the Clam, Garlic, Chilis, and Oregano Pizza.. the crust reminded me of Burratta’s in Eastchester (my fav pizza place in Westchester). The service was excellent along with everything that was served. I had to order the Creamy burata with butternut squash and Walnut Pesto (Burrata is bae)!.. .
The big hit of the night for me was the Pollo Francese with Artichokes and Capers.
Pollo Francese is one of my fav go to dishes. I am always a lil leery of ordering it because it seems to be a hit or miss dish. It’s Chicken cutlet in a wine, lemon, and butter sauce and sometimes restaurants can get a lil crazy with the lemon. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce it was in was just perfect! I loved it.
For desert we had Tiramisu and ended our night with after dinner dranks at the quaint lil bar. After doing some research I came across that this restaurant was once a speak easy, and a dive bar.
They are also open for Lunch and they serve Brunch on the Weekends! They are also participating in HVRW this Fall.
